A specialist individually tailored tutoring service to meet all needs and abilities. Covering SEN at all ages, primary, 11 plus, through to GCSE and adult education. Daytime and evening places are available. Qualified specialist teacher since 2003.
My Story
My Story
My first experience at school, was not a good one and left me hating education at the age of 5. This was a really bad teaching experience, with a teacher, that really should not have been a teacher.
Fast forward to our family move that Easter and meeting a new teacher, who showed me that education no longer made me feel this way. Why, because she had a passion for teaching and I believe even at this young age you can be inspired by others.
Before becoming a teacher, I spent over 12 years within many aspects the design and manufacturing business, from tool making through to design and product manufacturing. At this time, I thought about teaching but was not ready for the move, until I attended a celebration of life at my father's school, following his passing and I saw an article in the staff room, it said " Do you want to become a teacher?" I knew from this point, where I needed to go.
Throughout my teaching career I have been Head of Department, Teacher Training Mentor, Internal Moderator, LAC referral and private tutor. I have worked with all age groups and abilities, including SEN from ASD through to Complex and diverse needs, with medical conditions.

You may have a child that needs that small group or 1 to 1 support to, improve reading, writing, maths, get through the 11 plus or get that GCSE grade.
You may need your child to just progress or feel more confident when learning.
You may yourself need that qualification to get on with your new career move, as an adult.
I now have a purpose built teaching area and outside toilet facilities up and running.

I have really enjoyed my time working with many schools in the past, which has given me the experience and confidence, to work at all levels but not the 1 to 1 that some students need. You do not have that luxury in a class setting.
I feel proud when students have that confidence, in some cases, for the first time and progression begins.
